Upright Double Bass Teachers USA)

Here we list the upright double bass teachers by State (in Alphabetical order) then by the city they are nearest to or in. Also, adding short descriptive information as to what they specialize in or play. We (at the String Emporium), only provide these names as a much needed source and service. So many players want to study with a good teacher near where they live, or some moving to a new city and need to find a new teacher. We cannot endorse one player/teacher to another, but strongly urge the those interested, to simply contact the teacher to get more information. Good luck and find a great teacher!

Special note: You will notice that our email addresses here do not show the regular @ sign as normally they do. We substitute that with AT. So, if you are emailing a teacher, you will have to copy their email address first, paste it in your email program and then re-place the AT with the @ sign so it will work. We do this so that the teachers won't get their email addresses spammed here.

One last thing: A lot of the teachers listed here sent us the most passionate and interesting descriptions about themselves, but we just don't have enough room to put this all in. Eventually, we will re-design this page and get it to where we can properly highlight everyone. For now though, it's still just good to know where everyone is located, their contact info and some of what they feel they are qualified to offer. Again, it's up to the prospective students to contact the teachers for more detailed information.Teachers: if you need to change something (or if we goofed in anyway!), please email us and tell us.If you would like to be removed from the list, also just let us know.

If you are a good, experienced teacher and would like to be added here,
please email us.
