Upright Bass Sales (packages)
Buying a new upright bass should be an exciting event! At
the String Emporium, we understand this and still love to share in
the excitement with our customers. It's quite common that for
someone buying a bass, they may also need a (better) bow, a
pickup, an upgraded cover or all the above... The String
Emporium is quickly becoming the upright bass players', one shop
stop and with the packaged offers here, you'll see why!
With our quality products and accessories we are bound by the
traditional agreements with our manufacturers to only show and
advertise these very same name brand products at specific 'MAP'
pricing. That is, the Manufacturer's "suggested" Advertised
Price. For good measure, we advertise at the lowest agreed
pricing.
When buying a new (or even old upright bass), we are then
clear to offer packages that when combined with a bass, we can
really offer some really great deals and savings. (As if our upright
basses aren't priced low enough already!) We call this the 'ABPD' (Amazing Bass Package Deals)...someone's got to have some fun
here! This is one of our most popular pages.
- Thompson plywood bass (RM-100), with the deluxe upgraded Tuff-Bag case cover and Realist pickup together: Normally would be $1,906 if purchased separately but
together is $1,695 (packaged savings here: $211)
- Thompson plywood bass (RM-100), with the deluxe
upgraded Tuff-Bag, Realist pickup, and our Brazilwood bows,
ordinarily $2,036. when sold separately, but all together with
the bass for $1,795 ( Saves $241)
- Thompson plywood bass (RM-100) with the deluxe upgraded

and bow case) would all normally be $2,246 (With Standard bass
package now would be $1,955 and saves, $291.)
- Thompson Hybrid upright bass (RM-200) (with carved top),

($2,150 for bass + $275 for cover), but with special ABPD
package, will be $2,310. (saves you $115 off the premium cover!)

- Wan-Bernadel basses, (normally $4,950 which already
includes the deluxe bass covers), add Realist pickup and Finale
bow (with case and rosin), $5,310 (this saves $176)
- Need to add a new pick up or a bow with your Wan,
